Brief/ Process

Brief (self-directed):
Living Things are launching three new soda flavours and they are looking for can designs to complement these new releases.

Process:
This can series was a the first collection series I had done adnd working with the framework of a prexisting brand made the developpment process of this series a lot more seamless. Originally this collection existed as only the strawberry can and the fig can because the fruit assets of this collection was re used from the Scribbler fruit comp cards. I had the fruit pre-drawn for the two cans and  I was tired of drawing fruit, so I lfet this as a series of two.
I found the layout of all the assets of these cans quite challenging. I prefer to layout my designs so that everything is connected in a way that feels harmonious, but woring with the pre-existng can frameworks meant that some of that decison-making ws taken away from me. So, I decided to move away from the graphic design of the finer labelling and focus my design as a half can design.
After sitting with two finsied cans for a period  off weeks, I couldn’t leave the set incomplete and finsihed the final can to make my harmonious set of three.
